The installation of the cofferdam a very time-sensitive and complex undertaking. After it was successfully completed, this cofferdam allowed the AICI construction team to lay down the subsurface equipment for the marine railway.

The shore infrastructure aspect of this project included the construction of building and structures to house the railway machinery, electrical equipment, and towing cables.

The Egyptian Navy executes a successful test of the marine railway system with an actual surface combatant.
